Pallet Racking Upright Package

When quoting for a heavy duty pallet racking project, we usually consider the issue of packaging.  Heavy duty pallet racking typically doesn’t take up much volume, but it is quite heavy, especially without steel panel or wire mesh decking. Today, we’ll mainly discuss the packaging of heavy duty pallet racking uprights.

Since all our products are customized for our customers, as each customer’s warehouse size, height, and required racking length, width, and height are different, we offer a variety of racking styles.  For heavy duty pallet racking, there are also many different types. However, the most common uprights come in three sizes: 80*60, 90*70, and 100*70. These three sizes can meet the load-bearing needs of most customers. Of course, we also have other styles, such as heavier-duty options or American standard uprights suitable for the US market. Today, we will mainly discuss the packaging of these three types of uprights.

First, there are the 80mm uprights. Because they are relatively lightweight and usually not very tall, they are commonly packaged around 100 pieces, depending on the number of racking ordered by the customer. Sometimes, package of 110 or 120 pieces are also normal. The width is usually similar, as it needs to be considered for container loading. A container can typically fit two rows of these uprights, so the width is usually around 900-1000mm. The length corresponds to the height of the racking unit, which is easy to understand.

Next are the 90*70 uprights, which are usually stacked in 4 or 5 layers, depending on the height of the racking unit.  Generally, one package will not exceed 3 tons. As for the 100*70 uprights, they typically require 4 layers per package. Because the uprights are quite heavy and serve as the main load-bearing component of the pallet racking unit, although a package may look small, its actual weight exceeds 1 ton.
