Stack rack pallet is applied in many industries and it has several types to meet different requirements. Stack rack pallet with angle steel bracers which is one-piece welded is one of the most popular types. This type of stack rack pallet has the most stable structure compare with other types. But it also has a brutal disadvantage: it brings the most expensive transportation cost. When one 40 feet container can take 280 sets of normal stack rack pallets which are composed of one base and four straight posts, only 70 sets at most can be loaded into same container. For now, the sea freight is not as cheap as five years ago.
To Solve the freight problem, we produced this knock-down type of stack rack pallet with angle steel bracers. It has three parts: base, posts and top. So that the posts can be disassembled and laid down in container to save space, which can make the quantity loaded into container go up to 160 sets, more than two times as one-piece welded types. And we can also ensure that the stability is same with one-piece welded types, because the angle steel bracers in base and top are the key to keep stable. The angle steel bracer in top can limit the base on them to more horizontally when supporting base weight.
Maybe you think it only needs to change the posts. It is right from the structure perspective. But it will be a hard test to welder. If the welder can not weld each parts well, it will have trouble when you put top on four posts and don’t even put another base on top when stacking up.
