Heavy duty pallet rack can be used in a variety of industries, greatly improving the utilization rate of warehouses, and on the other hand, improving work efficiency. Today, let’s briefly talk about the use of heavy duty pallet rack in the stainless steel plate industry.
As we all know, stainless steel plates don’t take up much volume, but they’re very heavy, so they’re usually stored on cantilever or heavy duty beam racks. One of our customers opted for heavy duty beam racks, ordering some racks from us several years ago. They recently completed a new factory, because the racking has been used so successful, they’re looking to order more. The racks are 3.4 meters long, 1 meter wide, and 3 meters high, with three layers of beams and four levels of cargo. The loads are quite heavy, requiring each layer to hold 3 tons. We selected 2.0-grade welded beams for the customer, which perfectly meet their load requirements.
Last week, our sales and technical personnel visited the client’s site to measure the new warehouse. They saw that the old pallet racking was still in use. The client planned to move the racking from the old warehouse to the new warehouse once it was completed. In addition to storing stainless steel plates, the client also requested storage for other heavy materials, also requiring a load capacity of approximately 3 tons per layer.
Of course, the size of the racking also varies according to the size of the pallet, but the height is basically the same, about 3 meters. Some widths require 1 meter, while others only require 0.9 meters, which are all regular heavy duty pallet racking widths. The length varies according to the size of the goods and the size of the pallet, and there are many specifications. The longest is 4.5 meters, the shortest is 1.5 meters, and there are also 2.6 meters, 2.7 meters, and 2.8 meters. This is very flexible, and the use of heavy duty racking can well meet the needs of customers.
